Introduction
Have you ever picked up Belgian radio when using the effects send/recieve loop of your amplifier?
You can fix this problem by shortening the length of cable used in the send recieve loop down to 6 inches or so.
To do this you need a remote switching bypass unit like the one shown on the left.
There are some of these available to buy ("remote loopy" etc.) but they're all very expensive. And since the parts required are relatively cheap there seemed little point in buying one.
All this is a bit complicated though, so luckilly someone (R.G.Keen) has already done most of the work (link broken?)

Circuits
I lack the equipment to make a PCB so I decided to use veroboard to make this project.
If you want to modify my design you should download TinyCad and VeeCad.
